brand I don't see here much now, Q&Qs were like the bottom of the pile

a brand I haven't seen for years here, it was the cheap and of the
market, plated cases instead of stainless, or worst plastic cases, cheap

Seiko probably started it, first there was Seiko, then seiko bought
Pulsar the old American Kojak watch and made a cheaper range, they then
produced LaSale? think Lexus (in the end it's still a Toyota)

yes, and lately they made Grandeux line of watches which are not so cheap (however much cheaper then Citizen).
