I have some old plans for a Mason & Sullivan Vienna Regulator wall
clock. The plans call for two movements, a 3315X and a 3335X. These
are apparently Mason and Sullivan numbers. I would like to know who
was the original manufacturer of these movements and what was their
model number.

I hope to build the case for this clock in the Spring.

Please respond either by e-mail or through this newsgroups. To e-mail
me remove the "NOSPAM" from the address.

Thanks in advance,

Fred Le Blanc

Many years ago I purchased Mason & Sullivan movements without any plans.
My movement numbers are 3600 and 3621. Do your plans give a list of
different movements that will fit your plans?

All four of these numbers do not match anything that I have in cross
reference. Not Hermle, Kieninger, Urgos or Jauch perhaps you are reading
the BPH? In any event you might try Mark Butterworth 319-263-0047 or
www.butterworthclocks.com He is usually very helpful in translating other
movements into replacement Hermles.

I just opened one of the movements. The marking on the back plate show

E
Made in Germany
to Mason & Sullivans
exclusive specifications,
No (0) jewels,
unadjusted,
made in Germany,
3621 X,
31 cm / 125.77.

I see no other markings. The movements are marked 3621X and 3600X

Urgos does have a 5 digit system but you might check with Mark Butterworth ,
he sells Urgos as well.

Thank you for all of the suggestions. I am following up on these

I kept a lot of Mason Sullivan catalogs for reference. I know for certain that the 3335X Movement is a Kieninger. I just happened to notice this posting as I was doing a search for that number as I have a bunch of those movements though they are Kieninger and are only marked as R as far as I can tell. I have no searched for the other number. I do know that a lot, if not all were from Kieninger.
