Run the dryer without the vent connected for a load or so to see if the problem
persists.
It is hard to judge the air flow outside without something to compare it with.
So make sure the vent hose is clean. Take it outside and wash it out with your
garden hose. This will clean it like new. Cut off any excess length which
could cause problems.
Make sure the vent hose is not kinked or collapsed when you push the dryer back
in place.
Some soft vinyl hoses will hang almost straight down from your vent hood pipe
without forming a bend. The bottom edge of the pipe cuts off the flow.
Install a metal elbow if this is a problem. Check the vent hood itself for
clogging or stuck flap.
Make sure the blower wheel is tight on the motor shaft. Is the inside of the
squirrel cage fan clean?
Make sure the door latch pulls the door in tight. Is the gasket missing.
Are the drum seals, front and back, worn? On a SQ you will usually find small
felt rectangles on the dryer floor.
Are the air inlet holes in the back of the drum open? The ones in the door?
The lint filter duct?
Hope this helps, Len
