Hi folks,

I have a website dedicated to house painting for homeowners and
professional contractors I would like for you to review. It's
www.qpainter.com and it contains information on house painting and
related subjects Including a Find A Painter section. It has come a
long way and has considerable information, but I need some input.
After checking it out, letting me know what you would like to see on it
would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

I reviewed it and it's a pretty good site, but I saw a few areas
for improvement:

You state that oil based paints cure in 7 days and latex's cure
in 30 days. In reality Oil based paints rarely cure in 7 days.
Most manufacturers state that they aren't fully cured until 30
days. (cure time and recoat sensitivity time are different)

You say that a deck refinishing job is good for 5 years. That's
rarely the case. 2-3 years is usually max. You should also add
a section on deck brightening with Oxalic acid based products.

Your paint brush section could be beefed up. You should compare
and contrast nylon vs. polyester vs. blends vs natural bristle,
etc.

If you're pushing finding painters why don't you include a
section on how to select a good painter. (interviewing
techniques, licensing/bonding/insurance, reference screening,
etc)

I liked your compilation of manufacturers sites. That will be
helpful.

Good luck!!
