The only lithium grease I know is white lithium. I have a product
that calls for using this but I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know?

Gunk makes a white lithium grease in a spray can. I picked it up in an
auto parts store.

Thanks for your reply. However, I was inquiring about lithium #0 and
what it is, not where to buy white lithium in a spray can.

Go to a boating store that carries outboard and stern drive motors.
They will have the grease and can tell you more than you want to know
about it.

The number is probably the National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLGI)
consistency grade rating, a measure of the grease's resistance to
penetration using a their standard test.

go to lacal hardware store, not Lowes or Home Depot, ask for lithium
grease, the # sign is the lbs and 0 zero is the weight, how hard the
grease is, i think it it something like 0, 1, 2, ... and so on.
are you using it for light duty or you using it for heavy duty like
greasing the wheels on a train, i think that the train would use
something like 100 or above, when you apply the grease it sticks up like
a rooster cone it is heavy, if it flows like a light hand cream it is
probably like "0" this is in case you go to a local hardware store and
the guy does not know any thing about grease.

It's only been 10 years. I bet he still needs it. Thanks!

He might well have found it already in 20 years.

Huh? I know I reached for the 2 but must have hit the 1 by mistake. Drat.

You are the first, I guess. No one here has ever made an error or a
typo until now. I'm astonished! Our perfect record is now gone.

#0 lithium is NOT your typical "lubriplate" white grease. Usually
amber or blue

I guess the important thing is that the OP finally found out where to get
lithium grease. His patience paid off.

When he finally got to the store it was looted and all the lithium
grease was stolen. Another few weeks of waiting.
