91% of Strong Trump supporters trust Trump for their news

while only 11% trust the mainstream media.

So, they trust a prolific liar, who's lies are exposed almost daily.
When your "truth" is coming from Trump, you're obviously so compromised
that you're beyond clueless. Muggles is a classic example. She says
that the whopping lie Trump told America at the debate about meeting
Putin at 60 Minutes, "we were stablemates", is true because the totally
separate segments happened to air on TV the same night, so that makes
it truthful. Once again, I now understand how guys like Hitler managed
to seduce and brainwash a nation, it's happening right before our eyes.
He's completely flipped the GOP. They used to be the party that viewed
Russia as our enemy, was opposed to big govt, was opposed to deficit and
piling on the national debt, was opposed to tariffs and bailouts, the
govt picking winners and losers. Trump comes along and flips all that
and they are all on board. It's quite stunning.

Supporting him is bad enough, but relying on Trump for news shows how far in the kool-aid tank they are. I never relied on any president for news, even those that I strongly supported.

Muggles could not understand when I compared Trump to Hitler and other
charismatic people. Good or bad, some have the ability to mesmerize a
group of followers that trust the "leader" more than their own senses.
They become puppets.

Exactly. Trump isn't a Hitler, but in that aspect, the ability to somehow
seduce people into believing him, suspending belief of what the truth is,
it's the same phenomena.

Trump said he would give us a tax break. He did. He supports our

He is making other countries pay their fair share of money at NATO, and
numerous other things he is doing to improve American lives.

Yes, anything for a buck in your pocket. The fact that the deficit just
ballooned to $800 bil this year, $1 tril next year, who cares, let
somebody else pay in the future. Only problem, that day is approaching
faster than you think.

He supports our

> to the US,

No evidence of that. HD for just announced it's moving production
overseas because of Trump's trade war. Trump is having to bailout the
farmers with $12 bil just to keep jobs and save their asses. BMW
announced they will build the electric X3 in China instead of SC
and China has invited them to up their ownnership in their China
subsidiary. We are creating jobs at about the same rate as we did in
the last two years of the Obama administration. The only difference
is that back then Trump told you that 178K new jobs a month was horrific,
a depression and now he tells you it's an economic turnaround of historic
proportions, and you believe him. That's what he said Friday, that this
"turnaround" is of historic proportions, just because we hit 4.1% GDP
one quarter. We hit that and higher 4 quarters under Obama, but I guess
that was no good because Obama was black and born in Kenya.

> and Korean War veteran remains are being returned to the US.

It's nothing new. NK has done it before, many times. They use handing
over 55 remains as a bargaining chip, ransom if you will. It's a good
thing and of course Trump can't keep himself from bragging about it,
making sure everyone knows he's taking full credit for it. Is he
taking credit for NK continuing it's nuke development?

> He is making other countries pay their fair share of money at NATO,

Show us the numbers that have changed since Trump took office. And
meanwhile, he's undermining NATO, just like Putin wants done. He
threw Montenegro under the bus last week, questioning if the US would
come to their aid if attacked, calling them "aggressive people", who
could start WWIII. And there isn't anything really going on there,
all that Trump rhetoric, destructive BS, came from a simple hypothetical
question the other day. Trump couldn't even find Montenegro on a map.

and
> numerous other things he is doing to improve American lives.

Yes, like dividing the country for his own political purposes,
saying there were very fine people marching with Nazis and the KKK,
vilifying our intel agencies, the DOJ, FBI, while siding with Russia.
No surprise there. You told us he's telling the truth about meeting Putin
at 60 Minutes because the segments happened to air on TV the same night.
When you're that stupid, that far in the tank, so brainwashed, you're one

The Trump tax cuts did put at least a few hundred bucks in many people's
pockets, others, especially if you have plenty of kids, got a couple
thousand. It wasn't just millionaires. It's a funny thing with libs,
anytime they want to raise taxes, it's tax the rich. Anytime there is
talk of a tax reduction, then it's no, can't cut taxes on the rich.
That process, repeated, would lead to 100% tax, which, I guess is what
you want. The top 1% of earners are paying 40% of all income tax, the
top 5% are paying 60%. I've asked before, how much more do you want?

There should be a one time setting of the income tax curve and then
it should be left alone. If there is going to be a tax cut, then it
should be applied uniformly across that curve. The curve should be
set maybe once every 30 years, not fiddled with for partisan purposes
any time taxes are to be raised or lowered.

I'd love to see a cite for the wages are dropping claim. The data
I've seen shows the opposite, that median family income is rising.

I didn't see you complaining about the coming screwing when Obama
was running up $700 bil a year deficits five years into a recovery,
adding $10 tril to the national debt, doubling it. What did the libs
do? They used the horrific one time $1.4 tril deficit in 2009 to
compare their deficits to, saying, look how great we're doing now,
it's only $700 bil. That was one of the most despicable deceptions
in history. And part of that $1.4 tril was TARP loans that were repaid,
so the deficit wasn't really that big to begin with. It's like a
family saying, "see how great we're doing, we're only running up $25K
in credit card debt this year, not the $50K a year we were running up ten
years ago when our house burned down and we lost our jobs."

I wonder if Trump had concentration camps and he simply said that any reports
in the media about them were fake news, if the trumpets would believe that
too? It worked for Hitler. A lot of Germans knew about the concentration
camps. You can't move 6 million people across countries, using trains
and all that goes with it, without people knowing. But somehow, they just
lived in an alternate reality, where they didn't care. Like Uncle would

If you lied at all, it makes you a liar. If you lie about one thing,
how do I know you're telling the truth, now? Should I take your word
for it?

> It may be easier to lie at times, but for the POTUS to lie is immoral
> and unethical and shows he does not have the balls to be truthful.  He
> should not be trusted and should not be President.

I don't know of anyone who hasn't lied about something. The point
being, a lie is in the eye of the beholder quite often. What one person
sees as "changing one's mind" someone else will call that a lie. Some
people tend to see a statement as being equal to a commitment to action,
and if that action is not followed through with - they call that a lie,
too. Many people also believe a lie is a lie is a lie, and there is no
good lie at all. What about lie's told to protect someone's feelings,
or some other necessary reason people give to tell a lie? Are they all
bad people because they LIED?? Are you a bad person because you lied?

The President said when he was campaigning that he would do certain
things if elected. He IS doing those things. The promises he's made
that requires the cooperation of Congress when they aren't cooperating
doesn't mean he is lying - he is doing his job to make those things come
to pass.

You want to call him a liar, I could also call you a liar, too, and I'd
be accurate to do that because you've lied in the past, and will
probably do it in the future, too. Is lying a bad? It depends on who
you ask and which lie someone is telling.

Who are you to judge me for supporting President Trump for KEEPING his
campaign promises just because you think him lying is worse than you lying.

Please. Do you think everyone here is stupid? Trump has lied about
one FACTUAL thing after another. My personal favorite is him lying
at the GOP debate about meeting Putin at 60 Minutes. He said he got
to know him, "we were stablemates". It was a total lie, a factual lie,
not an opinion. And being a loyal trumpet dupe, what did you do? You
tried to tell us that Trump was being truthful, because the segments
happened to air on TV the same night! That was a beautiful demonstration
of Trump the liar and you trumpets just disgracing yourselves, joining
him in his lies, in the gutter. He lied about there being no meetings
with any Russians during the campaign. Then, when the evidence proved
that was a lie, Trump personally drafted the lies to the press to try
to cover it. The first lie lasted just a day, the second attempt went
down in flames about two days later. He lied about having the biggest
electoral college win since Reagan. That went on for days, despite
people pointing out that it wasn't true.

He's done some of them, yes. The problem is the price we're paying
is way to high. You can choose to sell your sole to the devil to
get some of what you want, I won't. And I predicted that the blowback
to this all will result in conservatives and the GOP being banished
to the wilderness for a generation, possibly forever. Americans
tend not to like traitors, liars, and shysters who divide the country
for their own purposes. I predict that banishment will begin in
November.

The promises he's made

Like Ed said, there is a difference between lying about where you
were when you went out to buy your wife her Christmas present and
lying about meetings with Putin, meetings with Russia, your historical
record, etc. Sure Americans can excuse a lie or two in their leaders.
But that isn't what we are witnessing. We have a pathological liar
in the oval office and that isn't his only despicable trait.

//The average hourly wage paid to a key group of American workers has
fallen from last year when accounting for inflation, as an economy
that appears strong by several measures continues to fail to create
bigger paychecks, the federal government said Tuesday.

For workers in production and nonsupervisory positions, the value of
the average paycheck has declined in the past year. For those workers,
average real wages, a measure of pay that takes inflation into account
, fell from $22.62 in May 2017 to $22.59 in May 2018, the Bureau of
Labor Statistics said.

This pool of workers includes those in manufacturing and construction
jobs, as well as all nonsupervisory workers in service industries such
health care or fast food. The group accounts for about FOUR FIFTHS of
all privately employed workers in America, according to BLS.//

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Those stats come directly from Trump's government. So they
can't possibly be a lie, right ? 80% of the private sector had a fall
in income. The ones that need money most.

I'm sure they can still find a way to blame Obama or Hillary. It's an
interesting find Bob made, I had not seen that before and it's certainly
not what you'd expect with an economy that's growing and very low
unemployment. Wages better start picking up or else when the upcoming
inflation numbers that start to show the effects of Trump's trade war,
will bring real wages down.

The new jobs are all garbage, minimum wage jobs. More people have jobs
that leave them still in financial trouble, It's the Repub way. Give
huge tax breaks to the people that absolutely don't need it at all, and
screw everybody that does need help. If you help the poorer people, they
spend the money and it grows the economy - the rich just stash their tax
cuts in the Cayman Islands and it does nothing for the economy..

Everyone lies. It is not a surprise when anyone tells a lie, either,
and they lie for any number of reasons even when telling the truth is
easier. People like their secrets, they'll protect themselves and
others, and it is not something that shocks me.

Is lying bad, or evil, or even unusual? It depends.

Everyone lies, Bod. The problem is that everyone also has a different
perspective on what constitutes a lie, and with that perspective comes
the individual conclusion and viewpoints as to whether or not that
interpreted "lie" was either evil, less than evil (just bad), or
justified. You can spin the information any way you please to also
justify your conclusions, but don't expect me to take that ride
alongside of you.

If you don't like my viewpoint or my perspective, block me versus

It's been well proven, well documented. Obviously you have no interest
in the truth or you'd know. Just google list of Trump's lies, it's long
and documented. And one of the best examples of a pathological liar
is Trump lying to America at the GOP debate, claiming that he met
Putin, got to know him, when they did 60 Minutes together. Total,
outrageous, lie for no reason, the hallmark of a pathological liar.

And what did you do? You tried to tell us he was telling the truth,
because his 60 min segment aired the same night as Putin's on TV!

I want to tax the people who make money by moving money around, and
spend it on useful stuff like fixing bridges that are about to fall
down, curing diseases, and keeping the environment from being
trashed. And, yes, making sure that people working shitty jobs
can afford health care.

Full disclosure: I think I got a nice tax cut from Trump, because
my house is paid for and I take the standard deduction. It's not
worth saddling the future with a huge national debt.

That is not a disqualifying factor to serve as president. Everyone has

Whether or not you agree with him calling some African countries
"shithole's" is irrelevant. Everyone is entitled to their opinions on
such things, and so is President Trump. I happen to agree with him that
some African countries ARE "shitholes," per his description, therefore,

less (80% of the WORK force).
The lazy people that live off interest and state handouts

lied to America, said he met Putin at 60 Minutes, "we were stablemates". When it turns out that was a total, BS lie, one
told for no apparent reason, what did you do? You tried to tell
us that it was the truth because the segments happened to air the
same night on TV. So, when your facts, your truth are based on
BS and lies, then your opinions and your "truths" are worthless.
That's Trump's whole method. Anything that doesn't reflect favorably
on him, he just lies, calls fake news. And you do the same, in
his defense.

It's way more than hyperbole, it's flat out lies. And if he's made mistakes
maybe you can point us to some of the Trump apologies? Did he apologize
to the POWs? To the Arabs after he falsely accused them of dancing in the
streets of Jersey City, thousands and thousands of them on 9/11?
Did he apologize to the disabled reporter for mocking him? Did he
apologize for saying there were very fine people marching with Nazis
and the KKK in VA? Where are the apologies?

That must be some religion and good Christian church you go to. Is
that the values, the way to go through life that they teach?

IT's proven, just google for the list of all his lies. The lie about
knowing Putin, meeting him at 60 Mins, "we were stablemates", is
exactly what a pathological liar does. And what did you do? You
posted here that it wasn't a lie, because the two separate segments
happened to air on TV the same night. Nuff said about you and your
credibility. Trump lies and you swear to it.

It isn't an issue of what Bod likes or dislikes. It's an issue that
Trump tells one lie after another. They have been fact checked and
found to be untrue. THAT is indisputable. Now Bod and I happen to
not like that. I would think that being a good Christian, with all
those good Christian values, you would find lying wrong too. But
instead you try to justify it as normal. Must be one hell of a
church and religion.

I don't see Bod doing much slamming. But if he is slamming you,
it's because you're another shyster and village idiot. That's what anyone
is that says Trump wasn't lying about meeting Putin on 60 Mins
because the segments happened to air the same night on TV.
Nuff said. That wasn't a slam because you support Trump, it's
a slam because of the stupid post you made, trying to shyster
for Trump.

We don't "gouge" you because you support Trump. We gouge you
because you're the village idiot as evidenced by the stupid
posts you make. Like the one where you say Trump wasn't lying
about meeting Putin at 60 Mins because the totally separate
segments, filmed different times, different places, happened
to air the same night on TV. That confirmed forever your
status as a village idiot.

Uh, no they don't. Trump isn't functioning well. In fact,
it's quite obvious that he's not well mentally. A well
functioning person, especially a leader doesn't piss off,
make enemies of virtually everyone he meets. Congress doesn't
trust him, they know he's nuts, our allies don't trust him,
don't like him, most Americans disapprove. Who likes him
and who does he like? KJU and Putin!

It's not acceptable for a president to be hurling those terms,
especially for no reason. What the hell do they teach in that
"Christian" church of yours?

Trump, a great example of how to win friends and influence people.
Oh, and on the subject of friends, some years ago Trump said that
your friends are out to take you money, you wife, etc. That
explains a lot.

Eugene Volokh of the UCLA School of Law notes that the United States
exemplifies the varied nature of a democratic republic—a country where
some decisions (often local) are made by direct democratic processes,
while others (often federal) are made by democratically elected
representatives.
