I have opened the 24V power at the condensor and the fuse still
blows.
Any ideas?
Short in the cable going out to the condensor?
Maybe a staple thru it. Got an Ohmmeter?

Have you replaced the T-stat latley? Last one I saw doing this was
because customer tried to install new t-stat and wired it wrong.

why did the original transformer fail?
did you determine why . or just replace it ?>
If you dont know how to troubleshoot this, and dont want to pay for parts
that are as yet not fried, call your local Trane dealer, or some other
compay that you trust to find this issue for you.
There is NO WAY anyone can diagnose this for you over the net.

Like John had said I too , the last trouble like this I had was the
thermostat shorting out in the common to the red hot wire. It will blow the
fuses only at times at first than all the time later. Pull the top cover of
the thermostat and you will see a tag middle ways with the number on it of :
WX28X100 . Not the Gemline number replacement number will be TH-105 , or you
can use the Trane number of WX28X100.
