I am not sure of CSA standards, but in the US, usually a 50A service (GFCI) is required
for a spa with 2HP motor, blower, 6KW heater, and light. If you use gas heat, you can
probably keep your 30A service, or even a 20A circuit.

You may still be OK with the service you had installed. I know some hot
tubs can operate on either a 30 or 50 Amp service. The difference is in the
way the heater will operate when you are using it. You will need to make sure
that you get a hot tub that only needs 3 wires to operate. Make sure that you
don't get one that needs two hot wires, a neutral and a ground or you will be
one wire short. I am sure that you have thought of this but wanted to mention
it anyway just in case you get a salesman who tries to convince you other
wise.

Why don't you start looking at hot tubs? Some may require more power and some
less. It all depends on how you want to heat the thing. Individual
manufacturers vary, so don't fret just yet! All is not lost!

Mine required a 50 amp service. I think it depends on the size of your
spa, motors, etc.

I really don¹t know the details of hot tub installation, but could you
find one that is operated on two circuits (2 20-A, or 1 20-A and 1 30-A,
for instance) ?
It would be much easier to fish an additional 10/3 (for 30 A) or 12/3 (for
20 A) cable than to fish a bulkier 8/3.

It would be difficult to size a circuit for a "future" load in this
case. The load will depend entirely on manufacturer, size, design,
etc. of your future hot tub. You should have maybe run a empty
conduit in the finished spaces so you could pull wire later.
