We have an undercounter kitchen cabinet drawer that won't stay closed.
When you close it, it drifts back open a couple three inches. I suppose
we could replace the glider mechanism, but I was wondering if there's
some sort of adjustment on these things. I don't know where I'm supposed
to look for such a thing (if it exists). I suppose I should also ask how
difficult replacing the glider mechanism is.

Any help appreciated!

I always use bungee cords for jobs like this. Just remember to remove your
fingers from the drawer when you release it!

Jack up one side of your house???? :o

No seriously - take the draw out and the sliders should be screwed to the
inside of the cabinet and should already have adjustable holes. Loosen the
back screw a bit, push down on the slider and re-tighten the screw. You may
have to do the same on the front a bit, but go up instead of down. If the
screw holes are not already elongated ovals, you may need to relocate the
screw holes, but that is no big deal either.

Adding to Mark's post, it might be beneficial to use a small inexpensive level
in order to just do the job once.

There is supposed to be a small v-shaped depression in the track that the
trackwheel is supposed to sit in when the drawer is closed. You should feel
it pull the drawer closed at the end of it's travel.

Sounds like either the track has shifted backward, or the depression is
gone/filled in/who knows. Replacing the track if it's worn out should be
easy: contact the manufacturer if you can't find a replacement at Lowe's or
HD.

Good luck.

Would be helpful if you could identify the name of the drawer slide and
describe where it's located.

Thanks to everyone who replied! I'll have to check to see who the glide
manufacturer is & get back to you. As for some of the suggestions, we do
love duct tape & bungees, but so do our dogs (mmm....things to chew
on!). Is the house level? Are there houses that *are* level? It was
built in 1929, so I'd say it's... um... "visually level" (yeah, that's
it!). We have a bunch of cabinet drawers, but only one that won't stay
closed. I do keep a small line level in the kitchen with the tape
measure (DH thinks I'm... um... careful about stuff).

Thanks for giving me a suggestion about what to look for. After two
years, it's finally beginning to annoy me (but it still doesn't bother
DH).
