Google Maps, Satellite view, zoom way in.

4405 Neese Lane, Moss Point, MS

Looks like the street view car went down every street in the area
except for this one. I wonder why not.

Good question. Not every street gets done by them. I found a whole
bunch in rural Texas farmland where there was probably nothing to see
anyhow. But usually there is a reason.

Did you notice that in map view the street is grey, not white? Maybe
that's a clue that street view won't exist.

I could be wrong, but it looks like the other end of Neese Ln, on the west side of Trehem St,
has the same type of road surface, specifically, asphalt in need of some serious repair.

The Street View car went down that street.

The Fuck You on the roof of the address I posted just might happen to be
the reason.

It's not comical, it was quite possibly requested.

You do that via the "Report a problem" link on the Street View page.

https://www.google.com/local/imagery/report/?cb_client=maps_sv.tactile&image_key=!1e2!2s1-A4AMdNWrGNofiCWdUP5Q&hl=en&gl=us&cbp=1%2C15%2C%2C0%2C0&has_annotation=1

I'm guessing that if the owner went through the trouble to put Fuck You
on the roof, he probably went through the trouble to request that the view of
the back of the house be blurred.

Of course, all it takes is one click of the scroll wheel on my mouse and the
back side view becomes clearly visible.

Maybe Google's heat sensing imagery system picked up a redneck with a
shot gun sitting on the front porch.

More likely they saw whats on the roof on the satellite

How did you discover that street doesn’t have a street view ?

You could ring the redneck and ask him

I already gave a possible explanation for the blurring of the back view.

I think you can only see at most the bottom half of that from the
street, and only from a small part of the block, not all of it. OTOH,
they do show the sat. view, all of it. So I don't think that's the

Yeah, its obviously intended to be on the satellite view which
google refuses to blur for individual houses. It does with the
street view on request but refuses to with satellite view.

That's what he's pissed about.

They also don't go down some public roads, so unless we know that it's a private road,
"more likely" may not apply.

In addition, as I noted in another post, Street View is available for the other section
of Neese Ln, the section on the west side of Trehem St. Is it possible that the west side
of Neese is public and the east side is private? I guess it is, but something just makes
me feel that the Fuck You has more to do with the lack of Street View than a public vs.
private road issue.

BTW...do you have a cite that backs up your "million dollar cameras" statement?

Regular folks can purchase Google Street View "approved" cameras for under $5K.

https://www.google.com/streetview/contacts-tools/

I'm not saying that Google uses $3500 - $5000 cameras on their vehicles, but it's
a long way from that price range to $1,000,000.

Care to walk back (or back up) that statement?

Wow. Publish directly to google from the camera. My street is already
on google. Do you suppose I could walk around my yard and get some of
those little blue dots on the google map? I think so. I've seen little
blue dots at touristy places and now it doesn't seem like something
google would have done.

This is just software, and copies are free to the copyright owner, but
have you noticed that with google street view, you can look up, and you
can look down, and you can look all around in a circle, and you'll never
see the car, not its roof or its hood or headlights, or the person
wearing the camera, not his feet or his head or his belly. They have
software that gets rid of it!!!!

You can frequently see the shadow being cast by the car and its
roof-mounted camera, and you can see the cars sometimes. But yeah, the
software removes the stuff that they don't want to include.

Because words fucking matter.

You include facts and figures in many of your posts, on a host of different
subjects. How are readers supposed to know when you trying to be accurate
to prove a point vs just using "figures of speech"?

All we have to work with is what you post. We aren't inside your head watching
which part of your brain the words came from. (Thank God)

Keep it simple. Post what you know to be accurate and what you can back up.
Everyone's (not just mine and Joyce's) lives would be a lot simpler.

> Are you just looking for an argument?

Nope, just the facts ma'am.

See, now that's a simple and accurate use of words. You told us something
that you know to be true without exaggeration and without extrapolating it to
apply to the entire world. Good job. Keep it up.

I don't think I've ever said "Thanks a million" my life. Makes no sense,

In any case, why would any one make someone say "Thanks a million"
