"Sept. 2020 AFL-CIO Virtual Event
During a virtual union event in September of 2020, Biden was asked if he’d take the vaccine if it were announced the day after. He replied that he would, but only if certain stipulations were met.
“Only if it was completely transparent, that other experts in the country could look at it. Only if we knew all of what went into it, because so far nothing he’s told us has been true,” he said, referencing to then-President Trump."
Virtually everything the former president said about the coronavirus vaccine turned out to be true, including his claim that a vaccine would be out by year’s end."
But Trump told one lie after another about Covid and everything else. He also lied about the
vaccine, he claimed the military was going to be giving the vaccine, he claimed the military was
going to deliver the vaccine. In the end, from what I saw, the military asked Pfizer and Moderna
how much vaccine they have available next week, then told them how much to ship to each
state based on population and told the states how much they were getting. I could do that
with a desk and a phone.
"Oct. 2020 Vice Presidential Debate
Asked during the vice presidential debate in October whether she’d take the vaccine if the Trump administration produced it before the election, Harris said she wouldn’t if it Trump told her to take it.
“If the public health professionals, if Dr. Fauci, if the doctors tell us that we should take it, I’ll be the first in line to take it, absolutely. But if Donald Trump tells us that we should take it, I’m not taking it,” she said."
Perfectly logical. Trump was suggesting using bleach to disinfect lungs, holding death rallies,
lying, denying, mocking masks, wishing Covid away, doing anything he could to try to get re-elected.
So it's perfectly reasonable to say that you'll take the vaccine if it's approved by CDC, Fauci, etc
that they say it's safe and effective, but not if Trump is the one who tries to bypass all that and
tell us it's OK.
