I was curious if it is possible to get a carpet
cleaning head for a conventional shop vac?

It doesn't even have to be a power head.... but just
something that has wheels on it and will roll over the
tope of the carpet.

Of course a power head would be better..... I guess.

Is this possible?

Any links you can point me to?

TIA.

I've got one that I bought at Sear's. It has a sprayer that hooks up
the a hot water faucet with a venturi soap mixing valve, attached to a
carpet sucker for your shop vac. It works pretty good. There's also a
smaller upholstery cleaning wand that comes with the kit.

Best regards,
Bob

If you mean just a dry vacuum attachment, not a water extraction head, then
yes, these are made for whole-hose vac systems. But they cost about as
much as an upright vac anyway.

Yes.....I did mean just a dry head.

I guess I will just forget the idea if they cost as much as
an upright anyway

Can't you just go to a hardware store or vacume shop and pick up a cheap
carpet head and a hose adaptor?

I have a Craftsman power head that plugs in to charge and then runs about an
hour on the shop vac. Connects to 1 1/4" tube.

Yeah I saw that..... but those things are battery
operated, right?

If yes.....are you pleased with it's performance??
