Outdoor Landscape lighting: Solar??

Would like to hear comments/suggestions from those who have outdoor solar
lighting.

I like the idea of not having mess with the electrical wiring.

However the cost of the larger solar lights(Seimens) is high.

I want to be sure (before I make that sort of cash outlay) that these
lights work effectively.

Be advised that most wired outdoor lighting systems run at a low 12V AC.
This wiring is relatively easy to install and doesn't require elaborate
protection, etc (though you obviously shouldn't run it over a driveway or
sidewalk). The only problem I've had with the stuff is that sometimes the
clamp-on connectors don't "make" without some fiddling.
