I'm about to put down 100ft of 3/4 x 3/4 corner molding on top my newly
refinished hardwood floors, I might cut the pieces to fit then paint them in
the garage or nail them in place with painters tape under them then remove the
tape when finished painting using a light coat 2 times.

That comes down to preference really. We like a contrast and use
straight white semi-gloss on trim to get that. If the baseboards are
white now, you may be able to get away with one coat. If they are
unfinished two will be required. If these are new and to be applied, do
the painting before installation then you only need to fill the nail
holes and spot paint.
If you want one coat coverage forget about Behr. It's mediocre
quality.
Prime the molding first and use a quality paint like Pratt and Lambert
Accolade to minimize the coats required.

I just got throught installing new baseboards in one of my rooms.
Here's what I used:
For priming I used the Kilz oil based primer, then lightly sanded the
baseboards. Then I nailed them to the walls and finished up with the
Sherman Williams Pro-Classic (oil-based) semi-gloss. The paint is
unbelievable. One coat is all you need. It is quite expensive though,
$39 a gallon but it's well worth it.
