I just painted the trim around a couple of doors around the exterior of house.
How can I prevent the doors from sticking to the new paint? As it is I leave
the door open a few inches for at least 5-6 hours, however the door will still
stick to the paint even after a few days.

I had an uncle who did painting and remember him dipping his finger in cooking
oil and rubbing it around the perimeter of the door jamb. I don't remember any
other details, I just remember the paint was 4-5 hours dry and not tacky to the
touch. I really don't know, but I would guess it might hurt some new
paints...this was 30 years ago.

Once the paint is dry, spay on some wax. I use pledge types of spray
wax as my wife usually has it around.
