Stay far away from WD-40. Use LPS-1 if you are looking for a thin oil.

As far as regular 3 in 1 oil, I expect you can find that at any Wal-Mart
store in the row where they sell hand tools I believe. I quit using it a
few years ago in favor of the Teles oil. I heard 3 in 1 oil is pretty good
in the beginning, but after a period of time it loses its lubricating
abilities and actually causes more of a problem in some cases (like squirrel
cage fans used to cool large radio transmitters). I don't know if that's
true or not, but Teles oil isn't that much more expensive and I know it
works well. Plus, it has a real nice extension on the bottle to get you in
to tight places.
