Orbit vs Rain Bird sprinkler valves

All,

I have 6 in ground sprinkler valves to replace. There is quite
a bit of difference between the cost of the 2 valves. The Rain Birds
are 15 bucks and the Orbits are 9 bucks. Are the Rain Birds that much
better? Thanks for the advice...

DO not go with Orbit ANYTHING. Not their spray heads, their connectors,fittings
or valves.

Trust me!

The only reason HD carries both is because, like intermatic & toro, it forces
the manufacturer to keep the prices down.

Don't buy consumer grade valves like the ones you can get at Home Depot.
Get the professional grade valves and save yourself a head ache.

I bought the Rainbird pro valves and haven't had any problems.
