The Gahds' Curse to modern toddler clothing: finger paint! I'm sure most of
us have seen this stuff; powdered chalk that one only needs add water to
make it into paint. Supposedly it's also washable but the dyes stain hands,
elbows, desk-tops... And clothing.

Spawn managed to get as much on her shirt, a 100% cotton T-shirt, as she did
on the painting. I got most of it off through presoaking in Clorox2 liquid
but there is still an outline of where the paint stained. The T-shirt is a
lime-green so the stain shows up quite nicely.

Any thoughts?

[Note: Zout, Shout, Spray-n-Wash, Oxy-Clean, and Clorox 2 haven't removed
anything.]

Students often have mishaps with tempera fingerpaint in English
Literature Class. Our procedure is to soak the garment half an hour in
warm water containing 1% vinegar and 0.5% dishwashing liquid. Then we
place a piece of material saturated with alcohol on the stain and let it
absorb whatever paint it will. Then we soak in warm water containing 1%
ammonia and 0.5% dishwashing liquid.

Into every life a little rain must fall -- and the 30 minutes they spent
finger painting was it.

It isn't large enough; it was a perfect 4T blouse...
