Trixie moved toward the closest Klingon, a large-bladed dagger in
hand. It was one of the many weapons she had collected over the
years, and the only one that had been behind the bar at that time. She
reversed it, turning her arm across her chest, and let a low growl escape
from somewhere low in her diaphragm. The Klingon, his Dak'tagh in
hand, eagerly faced this new and armed opponent. Storm, watching
the stand-off, grabbed the hypo next to him.

The two combatants circled, looking for an opportunity to strike. The
Klingon's arm snaked forward, trying to use his longer reach to
advantage. Trixie's agility however, allowed her to duck the swipe, her
blade slashing into the abdomen of her attacker. The boarder recoiled,
taking another swing at the human female, this time striking a glancing
blow on her arm. It was enough to jolt the dagger from her hand.

Seeing the opportunity to finish the job, the ascendant started forward,
the bloodlust, obvious on his face, in his eyes. Daniels knew she did
not have time to pick up the fallen weapon. Her only option was retreat.
She inched backward, her assailant offsetting her movements. Her
next step brought her back in contact with the bar, and stopped her
escape. The last thing Trixie saw before she closed her eyes in
resignation was a flash of blue.

The Klingon clutched at his stomach, almost savouring the wound he
was about to avenge. He drew his arm back for the killing stroke only
to find his world going black in front of him. The giant warrior slumped
to the floor, unconscious.

Trixie was not dead, and it had been to long. She opened her eyes to
see her foe falling limply, a man wearing a blue uniform on the floor
next to where he fell, holding a hypospray. "You gotta love a good
depressant" Firekey smiled at her.

"Remind me to buy you a drink next time you're in here" she answered,
stepping to retrieve her knife. "What do we do about that guy", she
motioned at the second rampaging warrior.

"Just let me reload, and we'll find out." Storm replied, picking up
another hypo and checking the contents. "Hhmm, HHMMPH" Firekey
cleared his throat loudly.

The Klingon swung around at the sound. Seeing his fallen comrade,
she let out a blood curdling howl, running straight at the duo. The blood
splattered Bat'leth above her head sounded an ominous warning to the
pair, who looked at each other now. The thought that they had bitten
off a little more than they could chew ran through their respective
heads.

The beam of orange light that struck the charger was welcome relief to
the medic and bartender. The three member security team at the door
broke formation to warily survey the scene.

"I'm not the only one you'll be buying a drink for, I see" Storm quipped.

------

<<NRPG>> I assumed that the Klingons in the cargo bay (from Simon's
post) were not the only ones that beamed across. Welcome aboard
Kuvak (and Simon), hope to see you in sickbay soon to have that
injury looked at. <BG>
