Ensign Newell left his quarters to go to Engineering and check up on =
things. He hadn't slept since BA left. Thomas was damn right. He didn't =
have to tell the whole crew about this, but he should have told the XO, =
CO, CSO, and CMO.

Well, nothing he can do about it know. When he got to Engineering he =
walked in. Everything seemed to be going well. PO Hudson was in charge =
at the moment..

"Report", said Newell

"Sir! We have the warp engines perfectly configured--"--

--"--Perfectly? PO we NEVER have the engines PERFECT! Understood?!", =
yelled Newell

"A..Aye sir.. We have configured the engines to the specified settings, =
and all weapons systems as well, sir.", mumbled Hudson

"You sure there's no jello in there?", mumbled Dolan

Newell heard him, he walked over, out his face right at Dolan and said,
"make sure there's no WHAT?"

"Nothing, sir", said Dolan

"WHAT?", boomed Newell, "let me remind you RECRUIT, that's all you are. =
You're here because you volunteered, if you don't WANT to be here, I'll =
throw you out the airlock! Is that understood?!"

"Y-y-y-yes sir!", yelled Dolan

"Now, Mr Dolan", said Newell picking him up with one hand under his =
chin. Newell had incredible strength, he lifted the Rec at least 4 ft in =
the air, "I want to know where you heard of this 'jello'"

"S-Sir.. With all do respect"--

"Fine, Recruit. I want you in the Holodeck after this shift, =
understood!?"

"Yes, sir!"

"Good, now I need some more sleep, there was a complication..", said =
Newell heading to the bridge.

{Bridge}

Newell walked out and went to his Engineering console to look over what =
the crew had done to 'his' engines. Nothing. They did nothing, he =
slammed the console "DAMN!", he yelled.

"Something wrong?", asked Lt O'Donell who was in command

"No, sir. Nothing"

Thomas looked worried. He walked over. "Don't try to fool me. What's =
wrong. For the last 6 hours my engine team did nothing to the engines. =
They should have had them done 4 hours ago!"

"Nothing I can do there, sorry", replied BA

"Well.. How are your detective skills?", asked Newell

"Not bad. Why?"

"Well. I got some jello comments from my engineering crew. Rec Dolan."

"What did you do?"

Newell sighed and gave him that look.

"Oh man", said Thomas

"Maybe you could just pass it aside, if and when they complain"

"I'll see"

"Also, I 'invited' Dolan, who made the comment to the Holodeck once the =
shift goes off."

"You can't, the briefing"

Newell nodded. He tapped his commbadge. "Newell to Dolan"

[Dolan here, something wrong sir?]

"Yes, I have a senior officers briefing at 0900, can you make it to the =
Holodeck at 1100?"

[Uh..]

"Well recruit?"

[Aye sir!]

"Good, Newell out"

"Looks like youve scared the poor kid", said Thomas

"Yup, just the way I want him"

"Tell me how it goes", said Thomas walking back to his console.
