"You should know, we were expecting this sort of thing,"
Agah said as she injected Nakuru with a neurostabilization
mixture the Medical staff had concocted while she was on
the captain's Away Team.

"Really?" Ma'kauran sounded disturbed and confused
as well as indignant.

"The device that transported you all to wherever it is that
you went emitted a type of radiation that can disrupt brain
function when it did so. These Triolic Waves can cause
irrational behavior in most organic sentients. I'd
recommend, if I may, getting Staff Sergeant McQuinby
and Corporal Mason back here. We'll need to keep a
watch over the entire first Away Team. If anyone manifests
symptoms, there may not be much warning and I'd hate
to see anyone else hurt."

>Reetaw’agah nodded and then turned back toward her

His injuries were taking on a vivid hue and would have
been quite painful.... if he were conscious. Agah sighed
over the dusky swellings as she scanned them to gauge
their seriousness. The cartilage in his nose had been torn
and might heal lumpily if it were not realigned. He also
had a hairline fracture of the mandibular ramus.

She kept thinking, though, about the way he had so
suddenly become divergent. Restriction to Sickbay was
unavoidably vital, until those who were going to manifest
symptoms of Triolic Wave Psychosis had done so and
had been successfully treated. After Lance Corporal
Nakuru had his nose and jaw repaired, Agah ordered
restraints put on him (just in case) and went to the
nearest terminal.

Re: first Away Team

The psychotic effects of the Triolic waves appear to
have too sudden an onset for freedom of movement
to be without significant risk. I have notified Major
Ma'kauran of the neccessity and have Lieutenant
Rescola and his team under observation. Two
marines left Sickbay before the restrictions were
instituted, but the Major will hopefully retrieve them
before anything comes of it. All will need to be
relieved of duties requiring their physical presence
until the situation resolves.

Agah didn't dare use the comms. The best of the
Marines aboard and the cream of the Security
Department exposed to a form of radiation that
could make them 'cuckoo?' It seemed like something
best kept out of both the rumor mills and the crew's
dreams.
