I am working towards opening a business in North Dakota - a "superstore" if
you will as it will be in about 10,000 sq ft.
Tracks, for use Scalextric and Carrera, Cars and parts for sale
Models from Revell and finally Tamiya products. - All total I will have
about
1100 sq ft of product displayed.
Racing Leagues will be developed, and I am considering a spot in the store
for repairs, modeling, etc...
On top of all this, yes I will have a spot for racers to just kick back and
relax and enjoy some snack food or cold drink.
A website, will allow people to become members and receive discounts and a
membership will also provide a car of choice up to a retail price of $50.
Other things are in the works as well.
But seriously - to kick the slot car hobby into high gear what is needed ?
It is hard to see how slots can make a comeback, with so many other ways for
kids to entertain themselves. Even in the 'lil race car' hobby there are
those little microcars that roll around on any flat space. How can slots
compete, having to be stuck in one little area when microcars can roam free?
