SCX vs. Scalextric ? any track-differences???

I just brought a Scx rally set, as I heard the tracks should be identical
with scalextric.
But there seem to be some minor differences... anyone with any experience in
combining the two different track-types?

I also got the scx rally set and used track from an old
scalextric set to extend it.The two go together ok.

My track is a mixture of SCX and Scalextric and I've had no problem. I think the
SCX connections are better than Scalextric, but both systems are fully
compatible.

I don't know if it's a compatability thing, but the SCX outside turn borders
don't fit the Scalextric outside turns. Maybe they don't fit the SCX either... I
haven't checked.

They are from the same mould:
SCX used to be a Scalextric factory, in Spain, when
you buy a Scalextric you get an SCX, if you look for a (international)
Scalextric - you need to check for "SuperSlot".
Scalextric "forgot" to maintain the copyright/trade mark in Spain
when they pulled out of the factory in Spain.

If you are building a 4 lane or more you will se some issued with
fit, but they will not be worse than a "pure Scalextric" layout
where the parts are from different batches of production.

Good day. I have vintage scalextric tracks that needs tlc. Straights are bent and inside the slots, the metal strips have "BUBBLES" that dislodge the cars. Question 1: How do i straighten the bent straights? 2: How do i take out the bubbles? 3 How do i treat the rust?
