I'm trying to avoid using a strap or cable to preserve stock
appearance. Solid mounts would not be comfortable.
The engine is a stock '71 340, so we're not talking monster power.
Anybody know of something tried an true?
I been using the solid mounts for years until lately (drag only now) I
would install one on the driver and leave the passemger a stock rubber
helps vibration a bit!

A good poly lock should hold you motor even if it was a four speed.

i have never tired it. my last foray with solid mounts shook half the

Thanks - I like the looks of the Poly-Loc as I envisioned such a
solution but didn't know it existed. I'll give it a try, but at $250
it looks like Mama won't get her new shoes for Christmas.
