I'm searching for an old-times cornbread recipe that doesn't use any
white flour, sweeteners etc. Mom used to make this from just plain
corn meal and we would have it for supper from time to time. She
served it with fresh, warm, just-out-of-the-cow whole milk and it was
delicious. Does anyone know where I can find a recipe for this. All
the recipes I've located list refined flour, sugar, honey, etc., and
my diabetic condition won't tolerate these ingredients.

Thanks, Gordon

Just cook up some cornmeal as "hominy grits" or "mush" ( recipe is usually
on the package), refrigerate overnight then make it into patties and fry /
bake them.

I love them with fresh butter.
