Completed another re-boot and everything seems to be back to normal :-)

Not that I know of, but I think she keeps a few as pets and lets them
out occasionally to reap havoc for some poor souls from time to tme.

It is but it must be over 12 months since trying CCleaner so I doubt it's
related.
