Client Beware:

Many clinics advertise Laser Hair Removal using a device known as IPL
(Intense Pulsed Light). An IPL device is NOT truly a laser. Its
primary function is to provide a client with photorejuvenation
(foto-facials). While it may provide some hair removal, it can no way
be compared to the effectiveness of a laser designed specifically for
hair removal. Don't let these clinics tell you that you will receive
a (included) foto-facial when using this IPL device with the lower
settings they try to use for hair removal.

Clinics that use IPL purchased their units specifically for
photorejuvenation. When they saw the increased demand and opportunity
for hair removal, they began using their units outside of the devices
original scope. The people generally operating these IPL devices are
typically not trained on the specific technicalities of hair removal.

faux pas. You'll find IPL devices at offices of Dermatologists,
Gynecologists, Podiatrists, Dentists, and Chiropractors, to name a
few...professions not normally thought of for hair removal.

IPL devices are substantially less expensive than true lasers, which
can allow a clinic to charge a lesser fee. Don't give trust of your
