There's also another topical anesthetic most of my clients
(electrolysis) prefer over EMLA, it's called ELA-Max and it's
available without a prescription. There is some debate though about
using topical anesthetics with laser hair removal. Some technicians
feel that the treatments are not as effective and some also feel that
if the skin is too numb, you may not realize the laser is burning and
may end up with some skin damage. Try ibuprophen before a treatment.
