(Only for Dutch readers): Announcement of new site 'HaarWeb'.

Dear posters,
I will try to write this message in english, but it is only intended for
Dutch readers.
I would like you to know that we are currently working on a new Dutch
website, called 'HaarWeb'. HaarWeb is a non-commercial site produced by
people who suffer from a hair-disease. The intention of the website is to
help other people who suffer from any hair-related disease by providing
information, chatfunctions and discussiongroups.
The past few years I often wondered why there wasn't any Dutch
website/supportgroup on the internet. There are lots and lots of english
websites on the internet related to hair-issues, but to my knowledge there
wasn't a possibility for Dutch people to go to a website that was, 1: in the
dutch language and 2: had the option for people to get in touch with -and
support- each other, through chatfunctions/discussionboards.
At this moment there are a few Dutch websites which provide information
about hair-related issues; mainly 'Health/Lifestyle' (if you can call it
that way)-sites and commercial sites. But still there was no place where you
could go to find all the information you needed about hairdiseases and get
in touch with people who suffered from the same things as you.
At this moment, only the basic concept of 'HaarWeb' is finished. You can

As you can see it needs a lot (and I mean: a LOT) of work. But we've finally
*started* it; the first steps are taken...
At this time there's one thing that is fully operational and that is the
discussion board on HaarWeb. You can find the HaarWeb Forum at:
http://www.haarweb.nl/forum
Although the forum is powered by an English engine (which *will* be
translated in the future), the language spoken on the board is ofcourse
Dutch.
The next few months we will concentrate on filling the website with the
information it (and the visitors) needs and we will extend the site with
more functionality (such as a list of ALL the hairspecialists you can find
in Holland; a list of insurance companies; a chat-function and so on). And
ofcourse...the site needs a fix-up in terms of graphics.
If there are some people amoung the dutch posters of this newsgroup who have
any comments/suggestions or content for the website/forum we are building, I
would kindly want to suggest to you that you put your comments on our forum
(in the 'suggestions/feedback' section). It would be very, very much
appreciated.
I hope that HaarWeb will be a positive and succesfull medium that will help
Dutch people to help others...and themselves.
