Melanin Production.

Having tried all methods of hair removal, I've found the only truly
successful one to be by laser. The laser works by the frequency of the
laser light being 'tuned' to resonate with the hair colouring melanin
molecule, with a massive transfer of energy resulting in great localised
heat.

I am now left with a significant amount of grey hair (melanin free) which a
laser cannot touch. It seems to me that one solution is to make the hairs
grow black again for a time long enough for the laser to zap them. Any drug
treatment would then only need to be short term, not a lifetime commitment.

Does anyone know if this line has been pursued by anyone? Are there drugs
to increase melanin production? What other drugs restore hair colour?

Any information would be useful.

It's called Meladine. It's fairly new. Go to www.consumerbeware.com
and to the "Beware Boards." Do a search for "Meladine." Most
consumers and professional are reporting less than satisfactory
results. Electrolysis will permanently remove those grey hairs. Just
make sure it's needle electrolysis and not transdermal/patch
"electrolysis."
