ableton live 4.0.4 crack

been usin imac daddy's cracked patch version of Ableton Live 4.0.4.
This morning it phoned home and the ableton website recognised it as a
crack. Now when I launch Live it trys to log me onto an ableton web
page related to cracks. When it cant find the server because I am not
online it tells me I have an unauthorised copy and the programme
closes.

Have tried deleting preferences etc. Tried reinstalling 4.0.4 and the
patch. What can I do now?

i know this is sort of post-fact, but little snitch would have stopped
this problem. unfortunately, unless you are feeling a bit adventurous,
you're in trouble. programs generally embed bits of their code onto
the motherboard or some other part of the system that isn't cleaned out
by just removing the program. unfortunately, you need to remove these
keys and allow your computer to be "disconnected" from that specific
patch and program. once that is accomplished, don't use that patch
again and find a serial number for it through serialseeker or this
group. the patch will be linked to your computer and if you put in a
serial number and little snitch, it should prevent these problems from
occuring again. sorry!

yeh - I've got little snitch too but didnt have it turned on - you live
and learn. I am up for tinkering with code to clean the motherboard of
links but I have never done this sort of mechanics before. Cant seem
to find a serial code for ableton 4.0.4 anywhere. Serialbox hasnt got
anything for version 4.

Has anybody got a code for live 4.0.4 or where can I look next? If I
get a different cracked version it should work?
Or is anybody up for giving me detailed instructions for getting rid of
the embedded code?

Update - I tried various other cracks of ableton to no avail. Even with
a bittorrent version 5.0.1 still getting copy protection violation
errrors. In the end got a legal copy of v4 and unlocked on line ok.
Ableton win this one. To solve the problem think I would have had to
find a way to rewrite the API security right file deep in the heart of
the machine but my unix is not up to it.
