this, so I find that a curious statement. Merely putting even my
nick in google brings up vulnerabilities. Putting in my alternate
nick "osioniusx" brings up virii.
I forwarded this. I am one of two vulnerability researchers at eEye,
and have posted quite a number of very serious vulnerabilities. As
"the Pull", I have as well. Even GOBBLES gave us props at DEFCON.
What vulnerabilities has GOBBLES posted which you can name off
your head?
I think people only know him from his slightly humorous postings. Often his
actual bugs are stuff like local unix chess DoS. I don't think
many people actually are aware of the bugs he has found.
(Don't even count the exploit code for apache, that isn't a bug,
and it is a bug which eEye found, which Litchfield and ISS copied
and pasted into apache... which even GOBBLES noted at DEFCON).
As for GOBBLES, I don't find this as humorous, but el8 really
deserves it. They are real shits to everyone they know. And, what
can I say? It is funny.

Actually, that is exactly what GOBBLES/el8/#PHRACK HIGH COUNCIL (Barf) is doing. The same media pimping. I view it as a
null thing, except that they are condemning
others for doing the same.
As for @stake, I don't have any personal investment with anyone
there. But, the thing which they are alleged as doing is ratting out
their friends for cash. However, the source, Thomas Greene, only
added the "for cash" bit himself. It was conjecture. He further added
the conjecture that they bought exploits, and other bits of conjecture...
which he stated as being conjecture in the article. All his "unknown"
source supposedly said was that they ratted out friends to the FBI.
So, I simply don't believe it. Not enough evidence to accuse a guy
on. I view @stake as a null thing. They are a business I have
little contact with. Qualsys and ISS whom hire these moronic kids
that are a BUST - the stupidest black hats, albeit some have
technical skills - I view negatively.
After all, if you are gonna really be a black hat, make millions,
live in the Caymans... and KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. Sheesh. Anyone

The sell-out thing was a lil' joke, and the l0pht was quite aware of
what some people would think; right after the announcement of the @stake
deal the l0pht went down to the MIT Swap Meet to make beer money by
selling their old hardware (which was their norm), but this time they
had a sign on their truck that read, "THE L0PHT SELLS OUT!" I've always
thought that was funny as hell!

Thomas Green has a history of playing fast and loose with the facts.
He's an entertaining writer, but as a reporter his research and
deduction skills sometimes leave a bit to be desired. Unfortunately,
far too many people always take him at his word. :-(

The FBI has some good people, but not too many good people in
computer science... they don't have clear roles, either, which
is essentially in policing areas. ie, there are restrictions about
what they can police and restrictions about what is a crime... perhaps
the first set is more important.
This kind of slow ability to adapt is built deep into the FBI
which was born and breed in a corrupt environment. (J "the is
