Then wouldn't it be possible to sign up for more accounts and just switch
after you use up one for the month?

No, it doesn't work. But, there are different hacks around that works.
I used to have one for about a year ago. It's probably another that
works today. But, spending the 14 dollars a month for eg At&T is well
worth the money. Netzero is soooooo slow that when I switched to AT&T,
it seemed like I had a T3 line in comparison.

Oh shit, I only got one T1 off a DS3.

my guess is someone with a soldering iron, some filters, a serial
controller and some time (not to mention some programming skillz)
could pretty easily build/modify a caller id unit to log incoming
phone numbers to a computer. pretty sure caller id is completely
documented and it's just a signal somewhere around the first ring
(between first/second?)...
i'm sure commercial solutions to this problem are available, in my
opinion, netzero would probably use them.

I was on my 14th hour, then, gone. Bye bye isp.
I have changed/deleted all reg keys dealing with netzero. I also
uninstalled/re-installed netzero many times. Nothing seems to break what they
are doing.
I tried using a box my friend made that is supposed to block call
tracing,nadda...
I have noticed:
I have 3 o.s.'s ,each with netzero,on separate drives. When I was first
kicked,I tried another o.s./diff username. Nothing...
