Delete IBM Thinkpad BIOS password

How do you delete a IBM BIOS/power-on password when it loads up?
I have a IBM THINKPAD, 365DX. It's a Pentium model.

You can't "delete" the power-on password.  But you can remove it...  If you don't know it you will have to take out the battery or just take it to best buy or something they will help you.  Look around before you post, lost of people ask the same questions....

Dude,
DO NOT REMOVE BIOS BATTERY ON ANY IBM THINKPAD, the HDD and system
Architecture is such that the HDD is encoded with a copy of the BIOS
password, this is confirmed everytime the unit is powered up, if you
remove the battery YOU TOAST THE HDD, you're best hope is to take it to
an authorised service dealer, thst iz if you paid for
it.....................

Do a search on "BIOS flashing". Uh, be careful not to enter"felching..."

what is a 365dx... i know of a 486DX... is there a 386 DX... and it is
not 365 but
386... yaa 365... hahaha... and A 586 is a pentium!!! yaa... but I DID
ones see a 486 cpu in a 586...

I do not know about the 360 series..., the 560 you can't get to it, but on
the 760 series you can get to the bois reset jumper and the bois battery.
Remove the battery and this might take a day or two. Jump the bois reset
and it takes a couple of secs. That is if it is the power-on password, or
the bios password. If it is the HD pasword, I don't know if there is a way
to reset that or not. Anyway remove the HD if 'yer ascaird'. We have
about 200 760's, 50 560's and 25 770's at work. People leave all the time,
tranfer or fired' without letting us know their passwords. We could send
them back to IBM (and we do if there is a HD password) or reset the BIOS.

I think that for the inexperienced... BIOS flashing is about as safe and
enjoyable as felching. Jump the BOIS or remove the battery.

I try not to look like an asshole, so I don't post things that I know nothing
about. A 365dx is an IBM 360 series notebook. Now everyone knows the level
of Black Moon's IQ,
