At Smith & Wesson’s new headquarters in Maryville, Tennessee, on Friday,

The six steel plates were eight inches in diameter and set on a plate
rack.

Additionally, that same day Miculek shattered the NRA World Record for
hitting six steel plates with a 9 mm handgun from the draw at seven yards
with an equally impressive 2.01-second run. The previous record for the
fastest time for 9 mm handgun shooting at six steel plates was 2.05
seconds, which was set in 2017 by pro shooter Max Michel.

NRA Deputy Director of Competitive Shooting Aaron Farmer was present at
Smith & Wesson headquarters in Tennessee to certify the records and give
Jerry Miculek his NRA World Record certificates.

The NRA World Record attempts by Miculek served as the kick-off for the
grand opening of Smith & Wesson's new headquarters in the Volunteer State
after departing its longtime home in Massachusetts. The following day, the
new Smith & Wesson headquarters in Maryville, Tennessee, made its big
debut with a star-studded ribbon cutting ceremony. Among the dignitaries
present at the grand opening was Sen. Marsha Blackburn, the first woman to
have been elected senator for Tennessee. More details about the grand
opening of Smith & Wesson's new headquarters are forthcoming.
