Korn is horrible. First of all, they have a stupid fucking name. Second, anyone
can stand on stage and go "Bo wah ba wah ba" a milllion times. Please.

I don't like Korn very much at all and I think Limp Bizkit is even worse.

I feel the seven string thing has been taken a little too far by bands that
essentially have to guitar talent apart from power chords and scratches.
Heavier is definitely not better, and this is proof.

no shit - the thing is, these days, it all sounds the same - grunge,
schmunge, korn/schmorn, non-melodic, dull non-creative lyrics, and rap
is sorta like a boring roses are red, violets are blue, I can monotone
and childishly rhyme, like Cassius Clay did, too...

What the hell does their name have to do with their music? The name doesn't
make the music it's the music that makes the name!
And what the hell are you talking about with that "bo wah ba wah ba" shit? A
few songs yes...

Stage names??? Those are nicknames that they have had since they were like
14, 15 or so...
Munky - Because Fieldy thought his feet look like those of a monkey's
Fieldy - A long story that started with him having gopher checks and then it
eventually turned into fieldy. I can't remember the story.
Head - Because he has a really big head and he says that barely any hats
will fit him...

They may be stupid but isn't that what nicknames usually are? They aren't
just stagenames...

i agree. that's the ONE simple reason i hate all music today. it has either a
contrived or no melody (usually the latter)... korn has no melody in their songs,
whatsoever. musically, they have to be the worst band i've ever heard, or they're
getting their fast. though it does help them that i dont watch emptv anymore...

Even though i dont like korn (Meshuggah is real metal) i know some of the
facts, the stage names came alot later then 14-15ish and Fieldy's name has
nothing to do with his appearance, he went by Fieldy Snuts, they just cut it
short
for those who cant figure it out Fieldy Snuts=Feel These Nuts

Yes it does have to do with his appearance... He had like big gopher cheeks
as a kid and they called him like gopher then somehow that turned into Gar
and then from there it turned into garfield and then... Fieldy! Voila!

Ryan

And they aren't stage names! They are nicks!

Ah, but what's in a name? Calling shit perfume still makes it smell like shit,
only it's got a prettier name.

For what it's worth, "Munky" was a term once used to refer to female
genitalia, and when's the last time you got any "Head?"

you're talking all crazy
you are calling it music and yet you say it has no melody...
music is MUSIC because there is a MELODY...or is my entire outlook on
music a misconception?
a melody doesn't have to be complicated you know
i don't condone korn's fame but you can't say it's not music...it may
be crappy music as your opinion so blatantly states but don't confuse
a hard working band with noisy teenagers...korn obviously stuck with
it and have been at it for a number of years...

It's funny that you're even wasting your energy to flame people who could
care less.

Me, I don't like Korn either, but I learned that music is whatever
someone says it is.

Therefore, Tom Waits' stuff, whatever it may be to me, is music to someone
else for the simple fact that they call it music and nothing else. that's
why Edgar Varese's stuff is music as well as Bach's, and Korn is music
just like Foreigner.
Melody is irrelevant, "music," as we know it, is irrelevant, scales are
irrelevant, instruments are irrelevant, voices are irrelevant,
noise of any origin, way, shape, or form is irrelevant, silence is
irrelevant. Whether anyone likes it or not is irrelevant.
All that *IS* relevant is whether it gets labeled as music or not by
*ANYONE* whether they know what the hell they're talking about or not. If
it is considered music, it is music. Get over it.

WHO CARES!? If you like the music listen to it. If you dont like it
shut up and go away and listen to what YOU like! This is alt.guitar.
Lets please get back to guitars, and not how Korn sucks (which they
dont.)

My god! Someone that is just in between, someone who finally realizes
that music is ANYTHING! If we could just have more people like this,
instead of you small minded bigots
