I have the oppurtunity to buy an ARIA Legend Les Paul Copy, and I want
to know if this make is any good, or if it is a pile of underpants.

It is 12 months old, black/ivory. It costs just £150 UK... that's about
$240 US. Seems quite cheap huh? Is this a really cheap Japanese make
or something?

I would appreciate emailed replies.

Thanks very much!

Nuck.

Sorry, I'm on a friend's computer, so I'm posting this to the newsgroup.
Yes, Aria is Japanese. BUT, I own an Aria Pro II RS Knight Warrior (name
is kinda cheesy, but it's strat style with HB,S,S config) and it's a
great guitar. Very playable, and very versatile. Now, I'm not sure about
the Les Paul types, but I imagine they're very comparable. If you can,
play it for a while. Borrow it, whatever. See if you like playing it,
and if you like the sound it gives you. That's the ultimate test.

I have an Aria les paul clone, had one for about 20 years or so, still
plays well, probably better than me ;~} I have modified mine by adding
Dimazio pickups (these are old three wire versions before the trndy four
wire came popular)!

Check out a local music store to see if the condition is comparable to
current budget stock.

The only problem tends to be the action is set high!

mail me if you need futher info as I dont often read the news

A friend of mine has a PE series Les Paul copy, and it is better than a
friend's Les Paul studio, neck wise. The sound is a little thinner, maybe.
The Aria has coil taps though, with a wider sonic palette
