Jay Turser is a guitar company that makes copy guitars usually in the lower
end range. I suppose the guy who owns the company is named Jay Turser.

Really they should just make up a guy Buzz Shredder and have a picture
of him jamming on a guitar in rock star duds.

"We can get you a deal on the limited edition Buzz Shredder model.
Usually its $2000 but its on sale now for $299."

Really? I didn't know that. If that's true, I wonder where the name "Jay
Turser" came from.

Maybe Jay Turser is related to Carlo Robelli and Teisco Del Ray...

There is no Jay Turser,I read an article about the company in a music
merchandizer's magazine not too long ago. My son has a Jay Turser
bass,it's a copy of that violin shaped Hofner bass that was popular in
the sixties,it's a good beginner's instrument as the neck scale and
radius can accomodate small hands.

Look out guys...if you start slagging makers that create a brand name that
sounds like a real one, how about Hughes & Kettner...according to the latest
(august 2002) Guitar Player Interview, Mr. Hughes was invented because good
amps were coming out of Britain and they wanted the market...Mr. Kettner was
a German name...and since they were made in St. Wendel Germany, this last
was de rigeur...in other words, both names were made up, but the amps and PA
systems are still fantastic! Get over it.

Cheers, CS

It is very strange. There WAS information on line about Jay Turser because I read it years ago. Now I can't find it - very strange. Here is what I remember from what I read. Jay Turser used to work for one of the big guitar companies - Gibson or Fender - I think I recall Fender. He left and started his own guitar company using overseas manufacturing. His company was successful enough that it was bought by the corporation that currently owns the company. But it is very strange that information disappeared from the web. Perhaps, it was fake information, so it got pulled. Or maybe the CIA disappeared Jay Turser. I just don't know.

Just ask for entry to expunged Google records next door to the Joint
Terrorism Analysis Centre, adjacent the Northern Ireland Office.
That's all you need to know.

There is a J Reynolds though. Joe worked with Samuel music in Effingham il. Samuels was also the owner of Midco int'l. which was also a huge music whosale warehouse. And when Joe retired Dean Samuel named a Midco guitar brand for him. Sure it was a cheap but playable Asian copy. I have a J Reynolds strat. I personally know Joe too.
