Okay. Has anyone ever bought stuff from these guys???
I've been to the Danbury store many times over the past few years. I have even
went (years ago) to the store in Newington. [Hopefully that one doesn't exist
anymore..]

Has anyone been happy with what they buy there? Just the other day I couldn't
believe what junk they sell!!! Do people buy these things? Used D'Agastino
guitars for $500!!!! And everything Peavey discontinued 10 years ago.

Their prize was a 1999 Gibson '59 Reissue ""AAAAA"" Les Paul that was tobacco
sunburst and looked like """A""" top model [This is probably more an issue with
the Gibson people] But I just know from experience that if there's a
way......If there's an angle......THE SHITBALL will find a way to "SCREW YOU"

Then comes the MARKETING. They started the Radio Shack obnoxious 1980's high
pressure bullshit of requiring your phone number, name, address, blah blah blah
to buy a set of STRINGS!!!!

If this is what we've got....God bless Guitar Center. I want them!!

Is it something in the water in Danbury, CT that grows the assholes?? SOMEONE
BRING UP ED ROMAN AGAIN.....PLEASE>>>

The only thing good about East Coast is if you are looking to buy a very
expensive guitar like a PRS or a Les Paul, because you will know that no one
else has really played them since they are so strict on that. The prices are
fairly the same on these higher end guitars but overall I agree the place is
expensive and sucks. Sam Ash in New Haven is where it's at.

Well, I bought a brand new Epi Les Paul for $400 bucks and a POD for under
$300 including tax. Sam Ash sells the Epi for $479 and the POD for $300 plus
tax. I think the secret is to pay cash and bargain with them. They will try
very hard to price match. Also I can walk in and play any instrument I want
without any pressure, try that at Sam Ash. Then again I spent years buying
my shit from the creeps on 48th street in Manhattan, next to them I thought
the guys at East Cost were great. Just my experience...

Check and make sure the guitar is original as described or what it's supposed
to be. Pickups, tuners, case, etc..

I'M NOT KIDDING!!! If there's a way...The Shitball Screws You!!

If everything is as it's supposed to be, consider yourself VERY lucky.

I've heard there's a decent guitar place in Stamford, CT.
Anyone been there? Name?
Thanks!!

I hate to say this, but in nearly every store there is a guy who's looking
to screw over someone. If you are getting massive price breaks from a store,
then some other guy might be getting shafted to compensate. Sometimes
someone with a reputation will get a great bargain because the management or
the salesman thinks maybe he can use this favor down the line, but someone
else is going to pay for the loss in profit. Politics ruins everything, or
is that love?
