Hello, I have a Kramer Jap guitar of sometype that has the pointy head
stock.. I love the neck as I am used to it.. I also installed a new Gotoh
Floyd Rose, and it sounds ok, but I want to learn to mess and build guitars
and I noticed at: http://www.edromanguitars.com/gtr_part.htm#KRAMER he has
Kramer original NightSwan bodies.. What I am wondering is if this will fit
my current krammers neck? If so, will the Floyd work? I would think the
floyd should drop in and the neck should bolt right on? I have a guy if the
specs are correct that will install all of it, but I don't want to have to
do any wood work.. The wood of the body for sale at the link above is only
89 dollars and I want a camo body! This body is already blue primered, so if
I mess up the looks of it, I don't care, but I do want to paint it myself,
and then have it put on the existing guitar.. Is this going to be hard or
does anyone have any tips or experience in this area? Here are my main
concerns..

Will the neck pocket work with the current Kramer neck I have with a real
pointy head stock.. The neck has a locking nut for the floyd and is the
smallest of the neck radius's out there I think.. Like a les paul radius..
if that matters.. Are there any other matters which one should be aware of
when installing the neck to the body?

Will the Floyd work? If so, I can get the rest done pretty cheaply, and have
it set up?

Thanks in advance..

Depends on whether or not the Nightswan body is made for a 22 or 24 fret
neck.

Tim,
A standard Kramer neck is scaled for 25.5" scale length. As the
Nightswan was a 24.75" scale length, the neck is not compatible
without some wood work. Essentially, if you just bolt your neck on,
you will end up with a "oddball scale length that your neck is not
fretted for and you will not be able to intonate the guitar.
Hope this helps...

DO NOT BUY FROM ED ROMAN!!!
You will ONLY get ripped off. He is a fucking racist hick ripoff asshole.
Trust me on this one. He is so bad that he is the only dealer Ibanez has
ever dropped. Fancy that, they hate him so much they won't let him make
money for them anymore. He willd eny this but go ask Jim McCloskey (former
Ibanez employer) he told me Ibanez dropped him.

Warmoth still makes and sells 24.75" scale necks. Depending on how much money
you want to throw at them, they could probably make anything you want,
actually...

No, Ed's just a prick. Even so, he's an HONEST prick.

You may not get as good a deal from Ed as you might from someone else,
and his abrasive personality turns a lot of people off, but if you do
buy from Ed, the goods will be as advertised.
