Most guitarists aren't that ugly but take a look at Angus Young he is so
ugly I can't even stand to listen to his music. does this happen to any
one else, see you hear a song on the radio and you reconize it and you
know some discusting person is playing that insturment or singing and
that instantly triggers an effect that makes you dislike that music.
(you know, I acually have no idea what i am talking about but it seems
pretty convinsing) well who cares if i have no idea what i am talking
about, that doesn't matter, what matters is if anyone has had that same
experience with ugly players, and which ones.

ps: sorry if I misspelled anything above.

And the winners are...
1. Lemmy (yes, he plays guitar too-whatever, he's one ugly m.f.-face
make a train take a dirt road!)
2. Dimebag Darrell (looks like he could use a bath, too)
3. Keith Richards (God bless 'im, but the years have taken their toll)

That's about the average intelligence level of an AC/DC fan. I
guess you will pass 90% of the worlds great music by since it doesn't

I was never an AC/DC fan but went to a show when I lived in Orlando FL.

Man, they kicked my ass. They did "For those about to Rock" the cannons
made me almost crap myself and this one chick was running around with no top
on, then she passed out on the floor and some dork put her shirt back on and

How is it possible to not have a style? Everyone has a style. KWS's
style is copying SRV licks, as well as his name, his guitar, and his
strap.

Bottom line-Kenny can play his ass off.
Would you prefer him to call himself Kenneth Sheppard? Since when was
SRV a true original in the art of wearing a guitar strap?
Before you flame away-I am a huge SRV fan. Just give the KWS some

I'm listening to SRV right now. I like him too. But look at this. SRV
had "SRV" on his strap. Kenneth Sheppard or whatever has "KWS" on his
strap. And I don't think he can play his ass off. If I spent all my time
learning SRV licks, I'd sound like I could play my ass off too, because
SRV could play his ass off. But he came up with the licks in the first
place.

Blaine

p.s. I'm surprised KWS doesn't have "KWS" in stickers on his guitar or
call it No. 1.

John Huff

SRV was the first to tell people that he stole his licks. Blues
guitarists learn licks from the greats and mix them up in their own
way.Listen to Muddy Waters, Hubert Sumlin,Albert King, BB King, Freddie
King, Buddy Guy, Johnny Winter, ect, ect. and you will find that no one
person invented modern blues guitar. Each, however (especially SRV) has
their own unique sound. Kenny is only 20- give the guy a break. He
obviously has talent-it just takes time to develop into an individual
style. I shared your opinion until I saw Kenny on the recent G3 tour.
He clearly gets off on what he does and sounds good doing it.
BTW, his songwriting is distinctly different from SRV's. Besides, I can
think of a lot worse guitarists to copy!

SRV stole the licks from someone else I am sure. So it's cool if others
(such as KWS and yourself) steal licks. Steal some Eric Clapton and
Buddy Guy licks too, for good measure. Blues is a field were it is cool
to steal other peoples licks. If you steal from Eric you are also
stealing from Freddy King since Clapton stole some from him. Stealing
from SRV might actually be a steal from Jimmy Hendrix. Blues licks are
pretty much public domain. The only thing is to be smart enough to play
so you don't sound too close to any one famous individual's style.

Im response to the KWS copying SRV issue, I think he does sound alot
like SRV (not as good of course) and that is to be expected being SRV
is KWS BIGGEST invluence (sp?, eh screw it). I love listening to both
KWS, SRV and all those great blues artist and I've only been playing
for 9 months and have only been taking lessons for 2 1/2 month be I
find that I am starting to sound like a mix between SRV, KWS, and my
guitar teacher(he can play his ass off and he has his own style). I'm
not usre if this is good or not but as far as KWS copying SRV, well if
you're gonna copy some one it might as well be the best. And im sure
SRV don't mind, especially since he touched KWS in such a big way.

Got to second Keith Richards as THE ugliest guitarist, although, looking at
some of my older Stones albums, he actually looked somewhat normal for a few
years in the early 60's. Who would've thought that 30 years of hard drinking,
drugs, and smoking a carton of non-filtered Camels a day would do that to
you??

An afterthought....WHAT the hell is up with Joe Satriani "doo" lately? Does he
have cancer?

Why not just state your opinion and skip the bigotry, Outhouse? What are
you afraid of? Nobody cares what you do with your wee-wee, ya know.
Except for Tobias, maybe, but who cares what he thinks?

On the contrary. If you see his pictures from before he cut his hair, he
looks a lot better now, cancer patient look alike or not.

No way! I'm looking at him right now on my G3 video and I'm telling you,
he's fucking ugly. His face is so bony. Looks like he's anorexic.

Asked backstage at a G3 gig his reply was, "I'm going grey fast...didn't
want to go out like that"
