Hi !
All the guitarists know that modern effects can product hard distortion,
But someone know if :
With Pandora PX4 Korgi is it possible to get a good warm clean jazz sound ?
(Think to Bebop, Joe pass or Wes Montgomery)
Or also, little saturation like John Scoffield or Larry Carlton ?
Even with headphone, not too bright ?
Do you know if other unit (Korg AX100G, AX1000 or Digitech RP50, RP100
pearheaps) can do it ?
Thanks for yours answers
Regards,
Christian

I'd best say go and try one and make a patch to do what you want it to
do....I own a AX1000G and It does 99% of what I want it to do but I dont
really know what sound you are looking for so I can't really say if it can
get that sound. Although with a bit of tweaking I'd say you can get
it......

The PX4 can do what you want. It is an amp modeler, and it can model some
nice cleam amps (in addition to all of those heavy metal amps). You can then
layer on a light chorus and a little plate or spring reverb, and you should
be pretty happy. Of course this all assumes that you are playing a suitable
guitar. it is hard to make a Strat sound "warm and jazzy". But if you have
some sort of semi hollow like an ES 175, you should be happy. Go try one out
though. They are usually set up for test rides at Guitar Center or Sam Ash.

I would concur with this.
PX4 is super versatile wrt to creating a wide range of subtle sounds
I've tried a few others and the parameter sets alway seem limited or else a
bit odd...
PX4 should easily get close to what you need, esp. if using headphones...

it really is a darn nice lil blue box
