Roger, your RP-5 may just have a dead battery. There's a battery inside
that provides power to save the patches in memory.
Somewhere out here on the Internet, there's a Digitech mailing list. I
used to belong to it, and I remember this topic coming up from time to
time. I don't remember details, but I recall that replacing that battery
isn't something you should do without getting instructions. You might try
Digitech's web site, and see if there's a link where you can sign up for
the mailing list. It's called RP-1-L (I think), but all of the RP series
units are discussed there.

Thanx Sam. I just might go out and try that right now. I E-mailed
DigiTech's tech support a couple of days ago and I'm waiting on a
reply if they send one.

Well I tried that Sam and it didn't fix it. I have a feeling the
software has crashed. Thanx anyway
Roger Childress
Hey Sam,
Got an e-mail from DigiTech Technician Bruce Holt that said it was a
bug in the software. He's mailing me the new updated software that
will fix the problem. No charge even. I didn't even buy it from a
dealer. I got it from a friend. Oh well. Kudos to DigiTech for their
great customer support.
Thanx again,
Roger Childress
