TIA
For 21 years of playing, I was convinced that you didn't need fancy,
expensive cables--only cables that were solidly built (I was using homemade
jobbies with the best switchcraft connectors, conquest cable and mil-spec
soldering). Out of frustration of cutting, soldering, and re-cutting and
re-soldering my patch cables, I gave up and ordered a bunch of George L
cable and connectors. It really, honestly, truly made a difference. There
was an instantly recognizeable decrease in noise and an increase in clarity.
And with the .155 cable and right-angle connectors, there's a lot more real
estate left on my board.
Maybe the expensive pre-made cables are better, but I like how easy it is to
cut the George Ls to size.
I was checking out Bill Lawrence's site and he now has a product similar to
George Ls, so there's a choice.

That's exactly what I've been doing - using ProCo cable with Switchcraft
ends. They've lasted forever. However, in my board, I ended up with some
color-coded plastic things that must have come with the Boss pedal
board. I've noticed some 'issues' and wanted to correct them.
Thanks for the info....

I'll second George L. As much as I appreciate the sonic improvement (and I
do), I really like the ease and flexibility of setup w/ George L. Since the
actual cable is really pretty cheap, you can easily keep a few feet of it
around and make setup changes on the fly. The downside is that the
connectors do need tightening from time to time, though the little "hoods"
can help.

Do any of them come pre-made with permanent connectors that are
rugged??
