Can anyone give me some input as to the positives and negatives of these
pedals.

I am looking for an affordable(i.e.under $100) analog chorus and have heard
some good things about both of these pedals.

Can anyone clue me into their preferences?

I don't think there's much of a question, the small clone is one of the best
chrous pedals ever made and the reissue uses exactly the same electronics as
the origional. I have used a Boss chrous that I honestly liked. The only
major downside for the small clone is possible reliability issues, they may be
fine now but the old ones were always breaking for one reason or another.

Yep, I have a broken one from the 70's. I saw them (working ones) going for
over $300 at the guitar show in Philly. Made me wonder how much it would
cost to get mine fixed... along with the Electric Mistress. Funny, the only
pedals I have that broke were the EH, and I've got about a dozen.

If you want one to use I'd go for the reissue which is about $85 at most places.

I always loved the tele-chorus sound of the Pretender's guitarist,
like on the song "brass in pocket" I understand now that he used a
clone theory pedal. I've got a CE-2, and for it's relatively low price
and good availability on the used market, it's hard to beat for a good
analog chorus sound.
