The US-made reissue E-H pedals are very close, if not identical, to the
originals. I've A/B'd my Small Clones and can't tell them apart, for example.
The Russian-made reissues tend to be a little bit less accurate, but they're
not bad, and in most cases I suspect the differences are small enough not to
matter.

EH reissues generally look the same but sound at least as good, and in
some cases much better than the originals. The Polychorus reissue in
particular is an all new design, superior in every respect to the
original Polychorus, Echoflanger, and Polyflanger - which were the
same pedal going by different names.

You could also buy a worse one for more than that too, ie: Boss. I've never
heard another phaser new or old that I like as much as the Small Stone, simple
as that. I paid top dollar for mine, $65, back in '93. I wish I'd gotten that
$55 Small Clone at the same time. The US Small Stone reissues are supposed to
be out sometime soon btw.
