Hi-
I'm using a Rocktron replifex in my rack...great effects, but the verb is a
bit lacking. I would like get an inexpensive unit to do just reverb.

The Quadraverb is an old friend, so that's an option. The Lev MPX100 is
cheap but seems to get mixed reviews. Any comments on the comparison of
these two? Remeber, just looking for good, smooth reverb.

I really like the QV, but I don't know anything about the Lex. I
wouldn't want to say anything either way, not being familiar with the
Lex, but I'm betting you can get a QV for much less $$$.

I've used both a few times. From that I found the Lexicon is
noisy when used with a guitar amp even with effects off,
even in the loop. The reverb sound is great, maybe even better
than the Quadraverb, but it's all presets and you only have
control over one parameter for each preset. Very limiting
in that sense. The reverb is very good, as well as the rotary effects,
but the Quadraverb has much better chorus and delays imo,
and very good reverb, I liked most of it. Lots more controls
over all effects and combinations. Lexicon is know for their reverbs,
but I don't know if it would that much better than using a
Quadraverb. Also the noise factor, it's a cheapo
version of their MPX1.

Sometimes, you can find an old Alesis Midiverb 2 for around $60. They
ain't programable, but they have about 25 presets of decent reverbs and
delay that work great on guitar. There is also a knob for MIX that works
great for tweaking the amount of effect you want.

Totally untrue. (sorry that sounded harsh) I have a quadraverb and you can
tweak any parameter on any effect, even the presets. There are also about 10
banks in which to store user presets. I think the Quadraverb is a bit noisey
(but I still use it). I have an AB switch to drop it out of the effects
chain when not in use. I had a Lexicon Alex (least sophisticated of the
Lexicon reverbs). Lexicon has a superb quality but you will pay for it.

What is untrue? I said the Lexicon MPX100 you can't
tweak much, but the Quadraverb you can and has better multi
effects. The MPX100 is only $199 BTW. I guess I don't see
where we disagree???

Oops, I should have read a bit closer. Sorry.
Yeah, the Lexicon I had was not easy to tweak. The Quad is great for that.
