question about solo effect for "Blue on Black" ... Kenny Wayne Shepherd

Does anyone know what effect Kenny Wayne Shepherd uses during the solo in
Blue on Black (sounds like an extraordinarily screamy distortion)? I've been
wondering forever and it's about to drive me absolutely insane.

He used an old Tycobrahe Octavia on that, now he used the Octave in the Foxrox
CC2 for that solo live. See my KWS page for more info.

Trust me on this one too..KWS used a Roger Mayer Octavia,doesn't matter
when it was made,or what switch,they all sound the same,and he used a
univibe..Live he was using the Mayer Octavia and a Dunlop Univibe..Then
he changed to a Foxrox Capt.Coconut,that has the Tycobrahe Octavio,a
fuzz and a univibe clone all in one.Now he has a Capt.Coconut 2..

Sorry Mike..The Mayer Octavia stuff got mixed in with the early live
gear,once I started talking about the switches etc..I didn't mean it to
say he used a mayer in the studio much less a dunlop vibe..
But I got the www's right...LOL!!
