so....what was the point of this post? looks like bigjimsguitars is an
honest seller, and someone stole a few pictures. user is already booted from
ebay.

rule #1 for ebay:

do not bid on items when seller has no feedback

...and are from China...hello...

unreal what they will do.
The second link uses a long available trick to redirect you to a different
web site that "looks" ok.

anytime you see a cgi thing and ebay you should be leary.
you can always send mail to sp...@ebay.com and they will look into it. They
have shut many down.

No, that second link really does point to an actual ebay auction. Try
this cut-down url that points to the auction number and you will see:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4785105335

All ebay links use cgi - that's how they navigate their site.

This isn't the same thing as the bogus "login and re-enable your
suspended account" emails we all get.

My nephew plays with those Yu-Gi-Oh cards, I ordered some from China. The
paypal went through and the cards didnt show so I had thier paypal account
shutdown. They emailed me 2 or 3 times begging me to drop the complaint.
Negative feedback on Ebay, suspended Paypal account and in 2 weeks we had
not one, but two sets of cards and a refund. I decided these scumbags didnt
deserve a feedback upgrade so I left it as is and not resolved.

i have done the same with non-paying bidders. they get 2-3 non-payment
strikes they get banned from ebay. I have had people email me beging to
recind the strike. I also say screw them. I'd rather have a safer ebay.

you have to look at what immediately preceeds the .com (or .???) That is
the actual domain name.

whatever.wherever.ebay.com would be legit.
service.ebaysvcs.com would be bad.
anything after the .com is ok too. www.ebay.com/xyz.dll~parm=xxx
