A guy sent me a file of his music but I can't play it.
How can I play a wav.asd file?

I think your friend sent you the wrong file. A Wav.asd is a
proprietary Ableton Live Warp point definition file...it contains no
real audio, only a map on how to adjust the tempo (warp points) of
another wave file in order to allow Ableton to have every clip playing
at the same tempo. Every .wav file that is imported into Ableton and
has been defined for its use (warped) will have a wav.asd file created
for it.

Hope that helps, CS

Asd files are generated automatically by a recording program for Mac and
Windows called Ableton Live. They are stored along with a typical .wav file
on the hard drive whenever a recording is saved in .wav. You'll need to get
your "guy" to send along the original raw wav file recording, the one with
the .wav extension--not the asd extension.

My solo, acoustic, instrumental 6-string version of "Please Please Me"--the
first #1 song for The Beatles (in the UK, 1963).

You first need to learn the chords before you
can play it.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

As the others have replied, you got the wrong file.

LOL...frankly Snark, if he didn't acknowledge our replies by now, I
doubt your flash of insight will elicit a response...so, for God's
sake, tap your foot! ;-)
